Protecting the Special Environmental Concerns in Tenaja

by Kristyne McDaniel

The Santa Rosa Plateau, on which the Tenaja Community Services District exists, is a unique place with a fragile environment. Protecting that balance of native species and wildlife is extremely important to a majority of the residents of the plateau.

There are special concerns to be aware of when selecting plants and animals to introduce into the area. Hopefully, you'll want to select native plant species and won't have any interest at all in bringing in non-native animals. Being mindful of the special environment is key, though, and we want to be sure you have a resource you can use to ask questions about how to be a responsible resident and owner on the plateau.
